Brief Case History

Lisa Jo Chamberlain was convicted of double murder along with her accomplice and then-boyfriend, Roger Gillet. The victims were the couple Linda Heintzelman and Vernon Hullet. Chamberlain and Gillet produced methamphetamine on Gillet’s farm and believed that Heintzelman intended to inform the police of these activities after an automobile incident and confusion over insurance matters. They waited at her home with plans to murder her but did not expect Hullet to arrive home with her. Chamberlain and Gillet murdered them both, dismembered them, and stored the dismembered bodies in freezers on Gillet’s farm. Chamberlain cooperated with state officials after the bodies were found, showing them where other criminal evidence was hidden.
